WHO WE ARE

"As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person."

Street Dogs Rescue is a 501(c)3 charitable organization.

We have been in operation for over 5 years and during this time have successfully placed over 500 dogs in loving homes.  We are a very small organization of foster families in Houston, TX that adopts our dogs out across the country.

We are happy to provide references or required licenses to approved adopters upon request.

ANIMAL RESCUE AND CARE

We take in dogs from the streets, from shelters, and from owners who can no longer care for their dogs.  All dogs are fully vetted and placed in a foster home until adoption.  We adopt only out of state to help alleviate the dog overpopulation problem in Houston, TX.

ADOPTIONS

All of our dogs are placed in the best fit home.  We are not first come, first served and we are not a high volume, high turnover organization.  We take the time to get to know the dogs in our care before matching them to an appropriate forever family.  Because all of our dogs live in foster homes in Houston, TX, you will not be able to meet your pet prior to adoption, but instead can video chat to get a sense of their personalities and appearance.

CONTACT US

Please do not use this to ask if a dog is available.  We won't reply.  If you are interested in a dog, kindly follow the directions on the Adoption Application page.  If you need something else, this is the form for you!  Unless you want to complain, and then we suggest sending a carrier pigeon.  But only if the pigeon wants to carry the message because we believe in consent, too.  Seriously though, Sully here will be very disappointed in you if you contact us and ask anything that's already answered on our site, so check out the FAQs before testing his patience.

Thanks for submitting!
